Light Trails is a coming-of-age drama film about Wren, a teenage girl who suddenly loses her dad in a drowning accident. Since the accident, Wren hasn’t spoken a word. This causes Wren to disconnect from her mother and become consumed in her own world. However, Wren soon discovers a way that she can communicate with her dad, through the use of lights. She decides to create a light display by the lake, as a way to continue to ask her dad the many questions of life that have been left unanswered, and in doing so, lets her mother back into her world.
